But at this time Raj finds out that he has been accepted for his law degree and goes back to Simran for marriage. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a 1998 Indian Hindi romance film. The film was directed by Karan Johar and it stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. This family drama dealt with the culture clash between two families from different social backgrounds who fall in love with each other. Ayesha (Kajol) lives with her family consisting of her dad (Anupam Kher), mom (Gita Siddharth), elder sister Pooja and younger brother Raja. She falls for Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) who belongs to a wealthy background but his parents disapprove of their relationship. They even try to fix him up with Ayesha's sister Pooja but she refuses as she is already in love with her classmate, Adi.

Mohabbatein is a film that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai. The story centers around two brothers who are both in love with the same woman. One brother has to let her go because he is not a suitable husband or son-in-law to her father. The other brother takes advantage of his brother's decision and marries the woman anyways. The music was composed by Jatin-Lalit, while lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. 7) Kal Ho Naa Ho
Kal Ho Naa Ho is a 2003 Indian drama film directed by Shakti Samanta, written by Javed Siddiqui and produced by Kumar Taurani. The title translates to Tomorrow May Never Come in English. The film explores the themes of divorce and modern relationships in India. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan and Amisha Patel in lead roles. The story follows protagonist Madhu Jain (Zinta) as she finds herself torn between two men: wealthy businessman Prem Kapoor (Khan) and struggling writer Raghu Rai (Ali). Eventually, both men propose to her and she must make a difficult choice between them.
After being advised by her mother that marrying for love is too risky, Madhu chooses Prem over Raghu and they get married.

Veer-Zaara is a 2004 Indian romantic drama film directed by Yash Chopra. It is the second installment of Chopra's Love Story series which began with his previous production Darr (1993). The film stars Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta as two strangers who get married after having been involved in a train accident. The film also features Rani Mukherjee, Anupam Kher, Amrish Puri and Kirron Kher in supporting roles. It was one of the biggest box office hits of 2004 grossing over ₹1 billion ($16 million) worldwide. At the 55th Filmfare Awards, it won seven awards including Filmfare Award for Best Director and Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Khan). The songs were highly successful, topping charts across India.
